[Performance Introduction] On June 23rd, the special project "Origins and Endings" by the Le Nouveau Collective will take place at Claude Art Hall. In this jazz salon, which embodies the meaning of "origin and end," you can experience a unique stage where the freedom of jazz meets the sophistication of Baroque music. Music that transcends centuries will lead the audience at Claude into a new world of jazz, much like deep meditation and passionate improvisation!😍 🎤 Jazz vocalist Betty Hwang is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in the United States and is a vocalist who freely traverses modern jazz and Brazilian contemporary music. She has built her own unique musical world through collaborations with world-class musicians such as Michael Mayo, Kurt Elling, Luciana Souza, and John Patitucci, delivering deep emotion with her clear, warm tone and delicate expressiveness. 🎹 Pianist Cho Yoon Seung is a world-renowned artist representing Korean jazz. As the first Asian to be selected for a full scholarship at the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz, he has been actively performing in the United States and Europe. An outstanding performer, composer, and arranger, he plans to present the essence of his musical imagination by showcasing his original works at this concert. Guitarist and banjo player Kim Sungwon is a world-class musician and the first Asian to perform in New York Broadway musicals such as Hamilton, Wicked, Frozen, and Kinky Boots. He has built an international reputation by performing at the Jimmy Page Tribute Concert and sharing the stage with artists such as John Patitucci and Dave Liebman. On this stage, he will deliver an unrivaled sound by seamlessly transitioning between the guitar and banjo. This concert is centered around Baroque music and original compositions by Cho Yoon-sung. Old music will be reborn in the language of modern jazz, and contemporary compositions will meet the spirit of the Baroque to create a new narrative. Join us at Claude for a special time with three musicians who freely cross the boundaries of jazz, classical, and world music💕
