[Performance Introduction] The 9th Arts in Tank Dance Festival in Korea (ADFK), held at the Seoul Culture Depot, is an international dance festival created by domestic and international artists and citizens together. Artists from 12 countries, including the United States, France, Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom, China, and Japan, participate, showcasing the trends of contemporary dance and experimental creations through performances, workshops, dance films, and international collaboration projects. From June 28 to July 3, across the entire Tank space of the Culture Depot, relay performances transcending genres and nationalities, international collaborations, citizen participation programs, dance experiences for children and youth, and a dance film festival will take place. In particular, through partnerships with eight overseas institutions, including France and the United States, the festival supports the overseas expansion of outstanding works and international exchange, and is establishing a global dance platform structure that connects performances, video, and international collaborations. [Program] * Klaudia Wittmann, KWAM Collective, Germany <2:30> '2:30' is composed of the body, medical wedding dresses, and paper heads. This work confronts materials as 'co-creators,' experimenting with the languages of movement that intuitively emerge from their combination. The starting point of the work is anthropological yet self-narrative materials collected within the context of the global abuse scandal in women's gymnastics. The collected stories are explored in connection with the diverse histories of the body, gender, and sexuality. In particular, it combines images, materials, and movement by studying medical and psychiatric discourses. Choreographer & Performer: Klaudia Wittmann * Emerging Artist: Lee Seo-won <The Blank Space> This work focuses on 'distance' as a condition that enables relationships. In a situation where physical closeness does not necessarily lead to relationship stability, it questions how a mutually bearable distance is formed. In particular, through the tension and discomfort that arise as closeness persists, this piece aims to reveal how relationships waver and break down when appropriate distance is absent. Choreographer: Lee Seo-won Cast: Lee Seo-won, Moon Mi-ra Composer: Lee Jun-hwan * Israel Edya Stern <MOde> Rooted in the aftermath of the October 7th incident and the concept of 'maternity,' this solo work explores how the mind stabilizes the body while simultaneously causing it to waver. As the body struggles to reorganize itself for survival, breathing becomes a means of control and rupture, oscillating between will and compulsion. Choreography: Edya Stern Cast: Edya Stern, Matan Herscu * Veteran Artist Son Min <MY HOME> They carried their respective homes on their backs. There was an invisible, yet distinct weight. Even while together, they could not enter each other's homes. Standing close, they could only guess at the warmth beyond the walls. They lost their way time and time again, and returned. And at a certain moment, quietly, they walked into themselves. Choreographer: Son Min Cast: Kim Min-ju, Lee Seo-yeon, Shim Ah-in, Son Min * Guest: Park Hye-ri <Song of Others> From the industrialization era of the 1960s to 2026, hands clasped for survival have become bonds binding one another. Violence in the name of Harmony. Singing with forced chords while concealing one's own unique tone. In a life called 'Harmony,' as gestures are suppressed, the body wears down into its most artificial form. As the invisible ensemble resonates, the existence of 'me' fades, leaving only the gestures of grueling labor. However, at the end of that fierce clash, an unexpected resonance is created as the breaths of others and myself mingle. Engraving those unfamiliar melodies onto my body, I begin to produce a thick harmony unlike anything before. And we ask ourselves. "Which other person's song am I singing today?" Choreographer: Park Hye-ri Cast: Lee Ha-yoon, Shin Han-seo, Park Hye-ri Key Staff Composition: USICOVE SOUND Music/Sound Director: Kim Moon-go
