[Concert Introduction] The Raon Muse Ensemble was founded in 2020, combining "Raon," meaning "joyful," and "Muse," the goddess of art, to signify "a gathering of musicians who deliver joyful music." Since its inception, the ensemble has presented a wide repertoire and creative performances through regular concerts and various exchange concerts, conveying the depth and approachable charm of classical music to audiences. This 5th Regular Concert, <PIANO Concerto With STRINGS>, is a special performance themed around piano concertos. It reinterprets the grand resonance of concertos created by orchestra and piano with a piano and string arrangement, while delicately highlighting the splendor and melodic beauty of the original works as well as the close synergy between the performers. The concert opens with Mozart's Concerto for Two Pianos in E♭ Major, K.365. The bright and elegant dialogue exchanged between the two pianos conveys the balanced beauty and vibrancy of Classical music. Following this, the first movement of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5, “Emperor,” expands the stage with its grand scale and powerful energy, while the first movement of Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1 delivers the lyricism of piano music in depth through romantic melodies and delicate sensibility. Finally, the first movement of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 marks the climax of the performance with its rich emotion and dramatic flow. Through this performance, the Raon Muse Ensemble aims to showcase new colors and possibilities for familiar piano concertos. The dense ensemble created by the interplay of piano and strings will be a special time that allows the audience to discover another beauty within these masterpieces. [PROGRAM] W. A.
