Saturday (14:00)
[Performance Introduction] This performance was planned to match the status of Asan City, which has rapidly emerged as a "great city for raising children" by recording the highest birth rate in South Chungcheong Province as of 2024. Its purpose is to foster a childbirth and child-rearing friendly atmosphere within the region and provide pregnant women with opportunities to enjoy high-quality culture. The program has been meticulously curated to allow pregnant women and their families to find emotional stability through classical music and share a deep connection with their unborn child. Along with the delicate performance of the KBS Symphony Orchestra, one of Korea's top orchestras, professional musicians actively performing both domestically and internationally—including mezzo-soprano Bang Shin-je with her soulful voice and the talented pianist Kim Min-hwan—will participate to present moving melodies. In particular, this concert adds educational value beyond a mere auditory experience. Brain scientist Cho Yong-sang, an authority in the field of cognitive science, will participate as a lecturer. Under the theme of "Prenatal Education, Music, and Brain Science," he will interestingly explain the correlation between a child's brain development and music, delivering information that offers practical help to expectant parents.
