[Performance Introduction] C2dance <Model House> - Introduction to the Company or Choreographer: The 'C' in C2dance holds two meanings: Creative or See. (‘C’reative-See “C2dance Company”) C2dance is an experimental and distinctive contemporary dance company that began with its inaugural performance in 2017. It brings together dancers currently active in the dance world, including Representative Kim Jung-hoon, and pursues active communication with the audience through dance. Contemporary dance choreographer Kim Jung-hoon is actively performing both domestically and internationally, receiving acclaim for works that incorporate dramatic elements through composition and delicacy. He currently serves as the Representative of the contemporary dance company ‘C2dance’ and the Artist Director of ‘KimBell Art Lab,’ while also lecturing at Chung-Ang University and the Korea National University of Arts. - Work Description: We dream of an ideal life, but the standards for it are created by the gaze of others. <Model House> reveals the structure of recurring choices, the lack and desire hidden behind a perfect image. The characters replicate each other, losing the boundaries of existence, and their bodies and emotions function like mere functions. This work questions whether the ideals we pursue might be mere illusions. Using the stage as a medium, the project abstractly constructs new forms of space, explores the relationship between movement, expression, and modes of delivery, and attempts to expand body language. Based on this, the project seeks to propose new sensations and perspectives from a contemporary viewpoint. ** Yoon Na-ra is a choreographer who expands the essential elements of dance in a contemporary manner, based on an in-depth exploration of movement and the body. She constructs a mise-en-scène on stage by maximizing the possibilities of physical training and manipulation, and meticulously designs the sensory structures created by movement. Centered on a creative method that objectifies individual subjective thought through the language of the body, she reconstructs the relationship between movement, space, and image. Through this, she forms a unique stage language and proposes a new experience of perception to the audience. - Work Description Starting from a surrealist perspective, *Shell* seeks to reveal invisible inner anxiety and trauma through the body. Based on the human state of constantly moving toward a destination amidst unknowable anxiety, the work explores the process by which emotions are generated, accumulated in the unconscious, and expressed in various forms. He attempts to engage with the audience through original expressions by approaching themes reflecting the present era from various perspectives. The themes of his works to date strongly reflect contemporary issues and the social realities he personally experiences. Furthermore, the references he collects are issues and media from the working period; as he extracts and choreographs movements from these sources, it can be said that the movements possess characteristics specific to each point in time, reflecting the choreographer's perspective and the social climate of the era. His representative works include a diverse range of pieces such as *go*, *Guernica Again*, *Golconde*, *Be Alone the More You Fall in Love*, *Relationship*, *Marriage*, *Empty Hero*, *The Treachery of Images*, *Cruel Entertainment*, and *The Weeping Woman*. Furthermore, he continues his active artistic career by traversing both domestic and international venues, having recently been officially invited to perform in Spain, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, and Finland. - Work Description: *Dopaminenation* is a work that explores how the brains and bodies of modern people, excessively exposed to digital stimuli, transform and disintegrate. Amidst the endless cycle of information and pleasure, humans gradually lose their autonomy and ability to regulate their emotions. Through collaboration with neuroscientist Professor Kim Dae-sik, this piece scientifically researches the impact of digital stimuli on the human nervous system. Based on this research, it incorporates neuroscientific details into the choreography, stage design, sound, and objects to stage the inner crisis of modern people in a multi-dimensional manner.
