[Synopsis] To stop the Smallpox God, who wanders the village spreading infectious diseases to children, Samshin Halmang designates a wooden doll from a pine tree struck by lightning. Born from the hands of the carpenter Je-ssi, the wooden doll Sol thus comes to life. However, Sol is a troublemaker from the moment of his birth. He craves freedom, is easily captivated by money and excitement, and fails to understand the consequences of his actions. Eventually, Sol gets entangled with a traveling troupe led by the Smallpox God, tells lies, and undergoes a bizarre transformation in which his nose grows longer each time he tells one. Meanwhile, Isimi, a fish who dreams of becoming a mythical serpent, reluctantly watches over Sol, but gradually finds himself unable to leave his side. At the end of lies and escape, Sol stands at a crossroads of choice and finally reaches the point of speaking his true feelings. Will the wooden doll Sol be able to become a ‘human’?
