Synopsis

[Performance Introduction] Seong Ae-sun, a first-generation inheritor of National Intangible Cultural Heritage No. 23, Gayageum Sanjo, has been diligently practicing and striving to preserve and pass on the Choi Ok-sam style Gayageum Sanjo, which she received from Master Ham Dong-jeongwol after studying under him for a long time. In particular, as this year marks the 70th anniversary of the passing of Master Choi Ok-sam, she has prepared the ‘54th Seong Ae-sun Gayageum Solo Recital’ to commemorate him and will perform the entire repertoire of the Choi Ok-sam style Gayageum Sanjo.
