Synopsis

[Performance Introduction] Gongju, the ancient capital of Baekje, and Andong, the capital of spiritual culture. A moment of overwhelming emotion where they become one through art, transcending time. From hardship to joy! A message of hope conveyed by two sister cities! A special performance will unfold to fill the stage with magnificent resonance at the threshold of winter. Prepared to commemorate the sister city relationship between Gongju and Andong and to strengthen the friendship between the two cities, this concert will present Beethoven's final symphony, 'The 9th Symphony,' considered one of the greatest masterpieces in classical history. Beethoven's spirit, which sang of humanity and hope even in desperate circumstances, blends with the meeting of two cities that have preserved a long history, conveying even deeper meaning. The exquisite and powerful performance of the Gongju-Chungnam Symphony Orchestra, representing Gongju, will be combined with the delicate and rich harmonies of the Gongju City Choir and the Andong City Choir to create explosive synergy. The moment the 4th movement, 'Ode to Joy,' rings out, the stage and the audience will feel a heart-pounding thrill as they become one!
