Synopsis

[Performance Introduction] A Living, Moving Book: Don Quixote Unfolded as a Puppet Show The puppet show *Sancho and Don Quixote* has been reimagined to allow even young children who cannot yet read to easily and enjoyably encounter the message of the book *Don Quixote*. The story begins with Sancho, a nine-year-old boy, opening a "book" that leads him into a world of adventure. The staging, utilizing various types of puppets—such as jointed, board, and shadow puppets—along with pop-up books, portrays Don Quixote's absurd adventures on stage with even greater persuasiveness. Along with the actors' comical performances, music, including medieval-style dance tunes, adds romance to the artistic imagination. [Synopsis] The Story of Sancho Embarking on an Adventure with Don Quixote Whenever you open a book in a strange and mysterious old bookstore, a different adventure awaits. The adventure awaiting today is the story of the knight Don Quixote. An ordinary boy who enters the bookstore is called "Sancho" and, led by Don Quixote, sets out on a quest to become an honorable knight. As Sancho sets out on his journey with Don Quixote, unimaginable events occur at every turn, such as the appearance of windmill giants and black-maned lions… Just then, a massive dragon appears before their eyes! Faced with a dragon they can neither defeat nor avoid, what will happen to Sancho and Don Quixote?
