Synopsis

[Concert Introduction] For over 200 years, the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra has deeply moved music lovers around the world, extending beyond Lucerne, the mecca of music. Michael Sanderling, who took office as Principal Conductor in 2021 and has built a more dense repertoire with a focus on late Romantic composers such as Bruckner, Mahler, and Richard Strauss, takes the podium. Joining him is cellist Jaemin Han, beloved for his extraordinary talent and uninhibited technique, who will perform Elgar's Cello Concerto.
