Synopsis

[Performance Introduction] A Black-and-White Thriller Stripped of Fairytale Fantasy The Monaco Monte Carlo Ballet, which has captivated dance fans worldwide by exquisitely combining the elegance of classical ballet with the unconventionality of contemporary dance, enchants Korean audiences with Jean-Christophe Maillot's masterpiece, *Swan Lake*. Maillot strips away the fairytale fantasy of the original work and transforms the "Swan" into an intricate psychological drama that delves into the human psyche, unfolding the contrasts of black and white, good and evil, and purity and desire through sophisticated mise-en-scène. The music, newly composed based on Tchaikovsky's original score, will be performed live by the Korea Coop Orchestra, further enriching the tension and emotional depth of the production.
