About the Marathon

As part of the May 18 Cultural Festival honoring the spirit of the May 1980 Democratization Movement, this event has been prepared by Jeonnam Maeil and the May 18 Memorial Foundation, the cradle of the May 18 spirit. The 26th May 18 Marathon is a competition where many citizens, students, civic groups, and marathon enthusiasts run together in harmony, just like on "that day" when people ran vigorously for the democratization of our society. We look forward to your participation. (※ Please note that for safety reasons, registration is limited to the first 1,500 participants.)
